Local Property Tax is a self-assessed home ownership tax that was first introduced in 2013. All property owners in the state are liable to pay it.
The initial valuations are now 8 years old and the state are requesting that homeowners update their property’s values. Given there has been significant property increases a according to the CSO, homeowners can expect to have seen the value of their properties increase.
Self-assessment takes places on 1st November next and to assist in this process, revenue have developed a useful valuation tool which is linked to your Eircode. We attach a link to the LPT section of the revenue web site.
